YGTL - Mirdith

I was just doing some courtesy call and this little one just caught my eyes like a slap or a custard pie fight. She does some amazing outfits, and I was too lazy to capture them here. But this one is kinda special : I really really really really love it.

So, may I introduce you Mirdith - who goes by Mireia. She is from Spain and she has a sister. But you already know that since I keep bragging about them all the time. She is the owner of the Stylish Stardoll Sisters blog and FM-style club.

This girl is talented. What I particularly like about this outfit is that I just cannot do as such. I'm rubbish about jumpsuits, and she just simply nailed that in some sort of effortless way. I have so much to learn here ;) oh, and this fox fur looks so great on the shoulder !

Get to know Mirdith on her blog here.

That's NSM/BTD approved !
yes, there is a stamp on the picture ;)

Anyway, see you later people !

SHOPPING : LE - Spring 2016

It's been three years since my last LE review on this blog. I must say, most of the collections in-between were for me not that good. I haven't been mesmerized by LE for such a long time...
AND THEN, this edition shows up. I have a million things to say about it : the greatness of the theme, the quality of the graphics, the good selection of the clothes... It has been a while since I've spent over 1k in a shop in less than 5 minutes !

Here's what I've bought ; my favorite item must be that big black coat. I haven't found any good shoes, but the accessories were kinda nice. I also took the decor, just because it really looks like what I can see from my window (there isn't any Eiffel tower where I live, but the rest of the street is truly faithful to what I can see outside).

Ideas cannot stop popping in my mind each time I look at those clothes. Even though I still can feel - and you may going to say that they turned me insane - a tiny little bit of the seventies (the pants), I also imagine a mix between the roaring twenties and Bowie's glam rock phase. I'm truly curious to see what you came up with !

Here's what I've made :

1. Lolita turned Grandma-ma : Valentino dress, fur and choker.
2. Capitaine de la Night : pyjamas, trench coat and DKNY shoes.
3. Hedi left Saint Laurent & I'm so sad : Dior, D&G, Chanel etc. etc. etc.

Anyway,
did you liked it too ?
Since I used to rate these,
I'll give it a 9/10.
They could have done a better job with the shoes...
But it's just me being picky ehhhh !

Cheers,
M.

HOTTEST BUYS OF THE MONTH - April 2015

Yes, you read it right, there is no mistake in this title. Actually, I'm glad this happened so I can bring up some old hotbuys that I think deserve an article.
So, as you may have guessed, this month's edition is a total fail. I was truly disappointed : too much pink, long and unwearable dresses, and I had a denim jacket overdose with the last subcouture.

I tried. I swear. But nothing came to my taste : I don't understand the pants, I don't like the shoes, I just can't with this bag, and the jackets ? mehhh. I never felt such an urge to save my money !

But April is not a failure month.
Last year, this month edition was inspired by Dior and it was really interesting !

For instance, I really loved the first silhouette on the left. Clothes are a little bit odd, but I find them very versatile actually ! I really liked that mini dress, which is the only one I actually bought, and I look forward to complete my collection with the bags (so if you wanna get rid of them.. you know who you gonna call haha !). I also kinda fancy the dress of the second silhouette (but it's a bit more challenging to style), and I felt the same about the coat - but it didn't look the same when released in the plaza. That same story you know...

So, here's what I got from this collection :
the mini dress - because it's Cool with a big C
the vinyl boots - I won them in a SMW contest so they're kind of sentimental I guess

1. You're from the sixties, I'm not - Dior dress & Lanvin cuff.
2. Red and purple as a couple should be a crime - Dior boots, Philip Lim bag and some Chinese dress.

Ah, and just so you know, SD messed with the colors, again !

Cheers,
M.
